This topic discussion does not represent who I am 99.99% of the time, I will be a helpful teammate when push comes to shove. I'll make damn well sure the quota is met without too much hassle, give instructions if teammate need it, the whole shebang. Hell I avoid servers asking for people with mics like a plague because that's what they want, people with mics. The issue is after joining...25? 30? servers not having something stating they want people with mics & getting kicked for not having one royally pisses me off. The game creator has provided the means to specify as such, simple as to use it.
The real reason you should get yourself a mic though is because you're missing out on half of the fun and atmosphere of the game. Without proximity chat, and being unable to use the walkie talkies it's a pretty basic co-op game.
I completely understand that & the Host has every right to kick me, the issue stems from the fact that the game developer has provided multiple tools, in the form of the server title & tags to indicate that the host wants people with mics. It is also not difficult to communicate via the chat what needs to be stated, have done so to a great degree of success many times before & will continue to do so in the future.
There are none? Of course not! Who the hell would want to play this without a mic or play with a person that has no mic?
& you are as well, I have never felt entitled nor will feel entitled for people to begrudgingly bend a knee to my every whim. I merely wish to not spend 30 minutes randomly selecting a server, sparking up a conversation, & getting kick for the cycle to repeat itself once more. From my experience, not much originates from the radio chatter that can be really considered the main experience from I observed with other people in the lobbies I've joined, jokes/humorous moment arising from voice chat itself are few & far between with randoms.
I do as such, those are the ones I seek out. Issue is with the server list being limited to 50 displayed at most, with 1/5th being modded & another 1/5th being mic only. Those are few & far between.
I know & always will know, the issue boils down to the entire cycle of joinkickjoinkick, that gets me peeved. I can still operate in a mutually beneficial cohesive group without to much trouble, commuciate without too much trouble, I will make damn well sure to notify the group I'm tagging along with has the information I acquire once I'm able to provide it. I don't anticipate for them to accommodate lil' old me in any way shape or form, I just wish to be able to simplify the process of locating those who will.
I have always accepted that, but I can still easily operate within the game, utilizing all the features provided with it without too much difficulty without being too much of a burden on the team, doesn't take too much effort to type out "spider" or "bracken" within a second & if my teammate nearby can hear the warning, then they can most certainly hear the SFXs produced by the monster. I Can confirm you can use walkie-talkies with the text chat feature, be doing it since the day I got this game & that the text chat abides by the same proximity radius that the voice chat has. If the issue was solely not having a mic I would've rectified that immediately by purchasing a mic & hooking it up, my voice is ♥♥♥♥♥♥, always will be ♥♥♥♥♥♥, not a whole lot I can do about it.
I came into the forum because it happens enough to be an issue for both me & many other people, because there are methods provided to indicate the desire for mics that take a second or less to employ, because I don't have all the time the day to host a session for multiple hours & just want to spend 30 minutes playing a quick game, bid people adieu & be off without disrupting their enjoyment all too much. I do browse for lobbies wherein it won't be an issue, mentioned that multiple times.
