Mineshaft makes no sence
First the spike trap.
Now this.
The game's world make less and less sense.
You didn't even try to make anything about it even remotely plausible.
In the main entrance room the tracks go into a small, 20cm hole, that the minecraft cannot (even if you squish it and turn it into a metal disk) go into???
Tracks go from a concrete wall into a concrete wall. There are no stopping mechanisms that prevent the cart from going off rails. In some places the objects are placed too close to the tracks making it so that the minecart cannot go through.
And lastly, the are no supports in the caves except for ONE room.

You realised some SCP's are exactly like this? Such as SCP-970.

I... Don't think you're aware of how mine-shafts work... The cart rails don't act like a highway for people, they're used for transporting rock and minerals. You don't load the cart onto the elevator, you process it down in the cave, the finished product comes from the conveyors up top.

So..... you are ok with the LEAST believable parts of the game, but GAH DAYUM if the architecture doesn't break the suspension of disbelief.

Apply the same logic to the architecture. There. Problem solved.
Honestly it’s fits perfectly with lethal company. Mineshafts have always been creepy to me in both other games and dangerous to go in real life depending on the state it’s in if abandoned.

To be fair, it doesn't seem like the OP knows anything about mining. He could have enlightened himself and looked it up to have not posted such a dumb take, but that implies he doesn't have a case of brainrot that not even Google could help remedy.

Why would the game even try to make sense? You're doing salvage operation in the first place for a scummy company that sells salvaged product to another customer, whom likely live on another doomed planet, so end up you get to collect that stuff again as you land on that planet.

it's a randomly generated interior, did you expect the minecart tracks to actually lead somewhere?

in a game where you play as astronauts collecting salvage that consists of rubber ducks, jars of pickles, V8 engines, literal easter eggs, stop signs, and air horns, this is what ruins the immersion for you? really?

Have you ever considered that the small patched up hole behind the elevator was used to ya'know get the minecarts there, along with the fact that there are rails going into it.
