LC currently hardly has anything beyond the scary factor and that is pretty sadening
Perhaps if i play it more then i'll get scared again by something, but apart from opening the door and having the monster straight on my face, they don't really scare me, it doesn't have that horror ambiance noise that lethal does so well.
For me the scary factor is what made the experience enjoyable and gave more replay value, since, at least for me, even after hundreds of hours there was almost always a moment every day in game, where something went to ♥♥♥♥ really fast, a jump missed, hearing the voice disappearing in the abyss, or just being stranded in the labyrinth, not knowing where the exit was, and hearing the ambiance and the thumpers/nutcracker close by...Or even being lost with the Jester !
But that is subjective, and i am glad to know you are enjoying Repo ! :)
repo's horror is good, aka its only scary untill you learn about it, while LC's is great and can scare even after learning about it.
after around 70h this became more annoying for me rather than engaging.
i'm not enjoying REPO (yet) 'cuz i haven't bought it. i was just stubling on some videos about it here and there even though i was trying to not spoil to my self about it too much (unsuccessfuly)
its enemies like coilhead only work because theres no real escape but its not a threat on its own (yes im glad they got nerfed but its silly it just takes locking behind a door to get rid of it now)
which lethal offers a good set of diversity through the unique monster designs the game has to offer
i cant say anything about repos gameplay loop but the fact your saying its just so easy to hide and kill things just already tells me i shouldnt bother and it isnt just some better lethal
Oh okay, i assumed you had played before ! At some point if you get it, do share your thought about it ! Im curious to know what you will think of it after playing couple of hours ! :D
I agree with everything about Lethal ! As for Repo, i do think it's a game where you can just kill monster fairly easily, you have a tranq gun to make monster ragdoll which you can throw in a pit, if you have enough strength upgrade, you can just take the monster directly and deal damage to it, or throw it in a pit, you have a pistol and a shotgun, with kind of poor accuracy, haven't played them much tho.
But, the upgrade aren't shared among player, so if you buy 1 strength, and you use it, your teammate won't have that 1 strength, same for health/Stamina/double jump etc...Which in a 6 player settings in the base game, will adds to the difficulty, and the more level pass, the more enemy spawn, and the longer you stay, the faster the respawn rate.
So there is still difficulty, but you are able to fight way more than Lethal, i did see that the devs are gonna implement a new status, if you hold an enemy, it will go up and it will blow you up or at least you won't be able to hold the enemy anymore, the depletion rate depends on the size of the monster, the strenght you have and how many player is actively grabbing the monster, that will come in the next update

hmm guess it wont be for me then the only thing i like the sound of is the items receving damage and in turn loosing value
with a game like lethal i dont like the idea of stat upgrades or being able to just fight them (yes lethal allows you to fight some but its usually the weaker ones and its risky) and the lack of recoverable hp ensures you dont risk being hit once unnecessarily
and the upgrade system sounds bad for public lobbies it would make people selfish i beleive which wouldnt be good (to be clear im mainly a pub casual in lethal and just boot up to chill chat and play so at most im with like 1 friend)
weight mechanic bugs out? what do you mean
and yea i think loot transporting is kinda a weak point with this game mainly due to the weight system making transferring heavy items from entrence to ship tedious
also just drop the loot. if something like a gient gets you it despawns and is unsalvagble anyways.at least if you drop it and die someone else might be able to pick it up after luring gient away with teleporter or something
Now, the thing is, he is either super unlucky, or it didn't happen often. On my 465 hours i might have experienced this about 10 time, i would say less, but might be up to 15-20 time, and it mostly happened while playing modded, it did happen 3-4 time that i remember on vanilla.
super super unlucky, in my 200 hours iv not encountered this issue once and iv hosted and joined public lobbies alike
the only game breaking bug iv encountered is when 2 people grab an item at the same time with the only other problematic one being items spawning out of bounds
Edit: fixed grimmer and missing closing tag on quote
besides it id say murky divers is on lethal level of actually good
