While Lethal Company is fun, its still unfinished. The loop of collect scrap, sell the scrap, repeat, can get boring real fast for some people and seeing that its in early access means there should be more to keep the game fun, to be even more replayable; however, Zeekers is not doing much to reach that potential and (in my opionion) making excuses.
He is just one guy, but he has more than enough to get a team or just do good even solo, yet he doesn't.
And thats ignoring him taking a "break" from LC, which is another can of worms that I don't care that much about.
What I'm trying to say is, there are reasons to be upset about the game and specifically its developer.
Also, you can read through similar to yours thread
tbh yes game loop does get boring, but if you dump hundreds of mods in it becomes fun (or in my case, 31 mods make it fun)
Yeah, I don't get the forums obsession with talking about how having to download mods is a good thing.
reason for this is probably impatience and disatisfaction that the game is being put on hold due to burnout
theyd prob befere a rushed slob of a game that keeps them entertained for 5m every update than a well rounded game
Then the modders should get the money, frankly.
The vast majority of people here complaining, are doing so because really, they care for the game.
It was frustrating too see a goofy truck added to the game, when by far what the game needed more of was interior variety, something to freshen up the stale interior generation, late game things to do, any kind of progression, etc. So I took a break from the game around version (0.50), came back months later, to find a complete lack of updates.
The last 2 patches were anything but noteworthy. Only 3 things of note came from any updates recently, the new mine interior, new enemies (some of which were removed) and the belt bag.
The new mine is cool and what the game needed, but its so rare it might as well not be in the game, I think you only have a chance to find it on Vow? Most of the time, you'll be running through the same facility interior with the same stale layout over and over, like always.
Worst of all, all the bugs are still there, meanwhile the dev is talking about how fun REPO is on his twitter in between posts of his furry cub art.
The dev didn't even care to do anything worthwhile for the anniversary of his Early Access game that made him a millionaire.
Why should you care if he doesn't? Why should people be happy with any of that?
No seriously what expectations did he give you?
im serious i just saw a $10 game that blew up from a hype train, a game of go loot while avoiding unkowin threats as i learn them sounded like fun and got my $10 worth of an product
i really dont get what more was there was to expect than just a party game of go in and dont die as you aim to reach the highest score you can do
like even the logic doesnt even add up just some solo dev thats selling a $10 game is somehow gonna be some huge thing
Look at that users post history, he comments the same swill in literally every single thread. Just ignore him.
Go ask Zeekers for a furry art commision on his twitter, if you are such a fan.
That's fine, its cool that you're still enjoying the game. However Zeekers has stated that he would be updating this game as much as he can and adding features to make the game feel like its "infinitely replayable" I thought he was coming up with something major at the beginning of 2025 for Lethal's ending, but seeing him basically admitting that he barely did anything and spent most of the time playing video games just made me lose respect for the guy.
A burnout its understandable, but using the burnout and being a solo dev excuse gets old really fast. Take a damn break, go get some fresh air, hire a team that would fix minor bugs or add little new things, do something. Expend the creatures abilities, JUST SOMETHING
Saying ♥♥♥♥ like
is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pathetic.
You'll feel rage and sadness if you checked his Patreon, you'll see how once Zeekers was passionate about Lethal, then you'll see his recent posts about burtnout and blah blah and people just sucking him off even after him admitting he spent little time on working on any game
