Lethal Company

I hope this game gets forgotten and replaced by repo.
Yes yes, zeekers is a 1 man dev but hes been silent for months! No update at all, he can atleast give us a hello or something, He's just not the best developer at all. Instead of giving the game to another person / team he lets this game sit dry and die out.

I hope so too, so that the people who keep whining about a lack of updates finally give up and move on to something that gets them.

sadly the most likely case is that the game wouldnt last long and theyd come back here crying anyways

Have you ever considerd that no developer posts updates like that on steam and you should go to something like his social media at least?

yea he posts a lot of news updates on his pateron[www.patreon.com]

which yea it gets released "a bit early" for members (roughly 2 weeks) but its not doing real any harm either

It's wild to me that a "dev" can be too lazy to update his early access game, and still make over $1500 a month on patreon.
Thank god for repo and their devs releasing updates/status NOT paywalled lmao.

the news are free there. Well, after 2 weeks they are free that is. And geordie said that already

No, I'm not defending it, he should do those not just free from the start but also on steam.

Project Zomboid has been posting roughly monthly updates on steam
Barotrauma has been posting spaced out but regular updates on steam

These are just the games I play, but they regularly update the playerbase, for free, on steam.

Also, hasn't he stopped posting about LC entirely to focus on his text based game? You know, the insanely simple thing that an AI could generate in 15 minutes?
at this rate we're going to get to "i hope he DIES for neglecting this game" phase

i think your focus on the idea that his little passion project 2 could be generated by ai is weird
he can work on what he wants, the actual issue is his lack of communication to his audience about the majority of what he's been up to, which by result makes people think he's deliberately neglecting the game and has abandoned it for the next toy

You're so spoiled. Games don't need to be updated to stay alive or be good. When you buy an early access game, you're buying the game for what it is, not what it will be like.
The rest of your comment is simply so ignorant that it's not even necessary to respond.

My point about Zeekerzz passion project is that it makes no sense that he needs to drop the game that made him millions just to focus on a text based adventure. There is no reason he couldn't work on both. Many people claim he dropped lethal because of his TBG but I think that's a really weak cop out.
I guess what I'm saying is a continuation of your point about dropping LC and picking up a new toy- It makes even less sense for Zeeker to do because it really shouldn't be insanely hard to do both.
... it could even be easy to do if he just hired a single other dev to at least clean up bugs in lethal while Zeke is on indefinite leave.

if I understood him correctly, he talks about communication with the player base, not actual updates.

I say exactly the same thing about that. There's a very bad habit that games have to be in constant development and developers have to always be in contact with the game.
If the developer stop developing their game, that's their problem.
