i guess if you were to take a bunch of stun grenade to the main entrence you could have a good set of them there much quicker or something but thats about it
i wish it supported ammo even tho its scrap (even if the shotgun isnt) as you could take a set of shells with you but thats at risk of if you die then you lose several kills worth of ammo along side the shotgun
The thing is I carry nothing else on me, and I let other players pick what they want from the belt.
Double shovel for defense, 2 pro flash, many keys. These 3 are the most used.
I do use spray paint in mineshaft to mark the cave - - - > exit.
I bring boombox for the funny. And rarely for moving slime.
Another very niched use is when everyone decide to bring back the gathered scraps, you can store everyone their tool for freeing their space.
It's also quite useful when you are playing to get as much loot as possible each day. When you have loads of flashlights, shovels, etc.. laying all over the ground, it's sometimes hard to prioritize bringing them back over all the loot you've found.
With the Belt Bag, you can bring them all back in quick succession. It's quite useful when you know how to use equipment, but don't want to just leave it behind at the end of the day constantly.
Most that use it are modders however, and use it to store scrap items of all kinds.
the shotgun and its shells are both considerd scrap as they cannot enter the belt bag due to that
the only instince of an item that can be put in the bag which isnt a scrap item is just the keys
It's great if you want to actually use many of the store bought items without having an inventory full of stuff that is useful, but only sometimes.
A good example of the belt bag's use is bringing an extension ladder into a mansion to ladder clip into the counter in that one kitchen room where scrap tends to get stuck in! Other common uses are things like holding many shotgun shells, bringing a shovel for any sneaky monsters, keeping stun grenades for any giants, bringing jetpacks over long distances, storing any keys you find, pulling out a lockpicker or key and pretending you knew that you would have to open a locked door the entire time instead of admitting you just prepared for every possible problem you could face, and last but not least, packing up an extension ladder while someone is climbing it and send them light years away into the abyss thus leading to the death of one of your crew members.
The belt bag is more of a niche item that helps you bring so many other niche items that all of them are way better because you don't have to deal with the weight of holding them or the wait of someone taking forever to bring them from the ship and back!
The only issues I see with it is 16 pounds added onto whatever scrap you have in your inventory adds up surprisingly fast, and the fact that it can't hold scrap weapons like shotguns or knives. But its a good push-back for given how powerful the belt bag is!
sorry for giving an entire god dang essay on a goofy kids fanny pack in an even goofier semi-horror game
