Will there be an update on max players?

Is it possible that the max amount of players could get bigger? so people with groups of 4 or more could still be able to play together.

I had to play the game with a mod, but since its a mod and not official is not actually so stable, so I would prefer if they added some way to play with more people in the original game without mods like maybe 10 people

I have been playing with my other friends (we play in 6) ands its so fun.

Yess I know the game is max 4, but these kinds of games all do that. It would be way more fun if the max players would be up to 6 or 8 for people who want to play with more friends. I really hope the dev will consider this. Don't know how to reach him besides this place.
