How to change settings for low end pc?

I'm currently using a laptop and the game is a bit iffy, I'd like to be able to change the graphics settings to better work for the game but I have not a clue as to how to do so.

There's now a mod that allows you to change resolution scale, enable SMAA and disable post-processing and volumetric fog

same here man, been scanning the internet for any fixes, don't know why though, I can run rust at 50 fps but this game brings my laptop to its knees at 15 frames

doesnt seem like they've implemented any way to lower the graphics for low end PCs so we're screwed. i'm running this game at 9-15fps with a i5-3470 and a nvidia gt 710. if only there was a potato mode man

Okay, so update on the whole thing. For some reason running the game at 30 fps seems to work better than 60? Not a clue as to why that's happening but that's something I've found out.

Praying the devs let us eat, If we could at least have custom fps limit like 45-50 or maybe let us play with worse shadows.

only at 50fps? rust is pretty old too ... how old is your potato PC o-o?

my best guess is the game render everything at really high quality
then use some post process ♥♥♥♥ to downgrade and give it outline

It's just the post processing and volumetic fog. The game is tiny, way too small for high quality renders.
