You'd have to be extremely desperate for items in your early quota games to return to the company. Other than that. Nothing really warrants you going back early and you might as well just start over or try to make the quota straight through.

The point is to keep players from selling early. The longer you hold your scrap the more risks you take as a team wipe means you lose it all. Basically the early prices never mattered and just exist to dissuade you from selling earlier to be safe.
