I can't store my tool in bag

I've changed my keybind and all, please explain like I was five because maybe I'm dumb and don't understand how I'm supposed to do

I've tried :

- Q when I'm on the bag slot ( do nothing )
- Q when I'm on the bag slot then try to move the tool in
- Open the bag then do the same things

You have to drop the item on the ground switch to the bag and then press q
