Shove your mic up your mouth and start yelling at them
A way to tell about how close a baboon hawk is to getting aggressive/more comfortable with your presence is by how close they are towards you, farther away they are, the more afraid they are to you and no, sadly making noises like yelling towards them doesn't do anything.
Also, if you can (or by mere coincidence), baboon hawks can get into fights with eyeless dogs.
They take about 4 hits from a shovel to kill.
They also have a pack-like system, where the largest baboon hawk is considered the leader, making the smaller baboon hawks follow.
Always carry a weapon too as it delays the time before they become aggressive and if you happen to find an air horn, clown horn or cash register, making noise with it repeatedly will also delay the time before you are attacked. Even when there are many baboon hawks around you, you always have SOME time before they become aggressive. Use the time to determine a route away from them.
Baboon hawks are annoying for sure but they can be managed MOST of the time
