Company Cruiser is it Jetpack 2.0?
I have been trying out the company cruiser on loads of maps and I think this may be the kind of tool that gets overlooked for a long time until people get good at using it, much like how the jetpack was perceived at launch.

I have found decent use cases on March, Dine, Assurance, (Embrion lol) and Artifice.

With some practice I can carefully drive the car to the doors of these maps consistently by around the time people start dropping loot outside the door.

Generally we can get around 3 peoples worth of loot into the back of the truck and then I start the drive back while everybody goes back in to get more loot to walk back on foot.

This is cool and with more practice this could be a fun new thing for the game.

I dont think the car needs alot of tweaks in terms of handling other than maybe upping how high the wheels are off the ground so your less likely to get stuck on geometry and increasing its traction so its a liiiittle less slidey. But the car in its current state IS tameable its just a steep learning curve and careful use of preplanned driving routes. The cars best use is travelling boatloads of loot in bulk on tier 3 and 4 moons

However there are some MAJOR problems currently holding it back from being able to perform this role. Currently in the time it takes to get to the front doors, load up with enough loot to be worth it, and then drive back, monsters have spawned. Monsters HATE the vehicle If there are any monsters out and about when you need to drive back the vehicle and all of the loot on it will be destroyed. Baboon hawks shred it in seconds same with dogs, and giants are a huge do not pass roadblock. In some cases it is possible to get enough speed to just run down these threats, in most cases its not possible say if the car is stuck on geometry, crashed into a wall, not mentioning getting up to speed to kill a dog may cause the car to veer off course into a wall and explode all of your loot.

And what about the alternatives?
The Jetpack can get ALL pieces of one handed loot to and from the door in about a minute, it costs more money but at least its return on investment is consistent with the skill of the user.

TZP can even be used as a pretty effective and safe budget lootrunning tool giving yourself enough usable infinite speedy stamina for 2 and half runs a bottle.

The car has the benefit of being able to move all of the loot in one go including the all encumbering 2 handed items, this is a niche only it fills. The problem is that the risk is WAAAY higher than the other options. 200$ per car that has a high chance of it and the loot it was carrying being lost.

The Issues I would like fixed are as follows:

1: The car exploding should not destroy the loot within.

2: Enemies should only target the car when there is a player inside.
The amount of times I see a group of baboon hawks closeby, abandon the vehicle and they all just run at it until it explodes has been like 4 times now.

3: Slight improvements to handling so its a bit more viable to get it speedily to and from the ship to the doors in time to not have monsters spawn

4: Some maps changed to accommodate car pathing a bit more, its a shame the vehicle is only even usable on a few maps.

5: Eject button gets used faster. Why does the emergency eject button take like 3 seconds to press?

6: Perhaps faster spawn time from the dropship, waiting for it to drop really eats into that precious driving to front door time.

Some of these issues stated might actually not be issues at all, the car is very new and I dont know everything about it, like I know dogs dont attack the car unless its turned on, perhaps the baboon hawks are the same?

Edit: I retract any statement about loot being destroyed when the vehicle blows up, it is not destroyed but sometimes the vehicle flings into the distance when it explodes and takes the loot with it or lands in a way that accessing the back is extra hard or impossible

I pretty much only play single player, and it's so so useful... It makes up for not having someone else carry the scrap to the ship with me.

Previously i had to install "slow day time" mods for singleplayer to be playable.
