Lethal Company

Rearranging the Ship.
I don't have too many complaints about this game aside from like bad rng spawning of items and such so they don't spawn inside the walls or anything like that which hopefully gets improved (unless it already has, and I just don't know about it)

But if there is one thing that annoys me the most is queueing with other players, and either before or after landing on a moon, a player will think it's haha funny to move and hide stuff in the ship like the light switch for example and turn off the switch making it obnoxiously annoying and difficult to find, not only that but also had a teammate where a couple of minutes after landing the ship, they just shipped off leaving everyone on the moon stranded and then dc'd immediately after which costed me to lose any loot I had on the ship.

So that being said, I have two suggestions to fix this annoying problem and I would hope somebody could even have a better suggestion than these 2 and pray that mods do not work around this (but even then, it probably would).

1. You make rearranging the ship exclusively only on the host side only so no other teammates are allowed to move anything on the ship by any means.

2. You make anything on the ship just not movable at all and have like a few options to select from for how the host wants the layout of the ship to be.

And as for teammates taking off with the ship and leaving everyone else behind, you make that also only exclusively to the host as well, and you might be thinking "well what if the host dies?: Well my idea if the host were to die, they can use the voting system to reduce the time for when the ship leaves like usual, and it also grants any other teammate the ability to access the ship to be able to leave whenever they want.

Please of all the things to look into, look into this because it is obnoxiously annoying when I want to play the game and want to play with a whole crew, and they have to go ruin it for everyone else.

I use "AntiCheat" mod to prevent the early or solo leaving of the ship.
There are several mods that prevent movement of furniture, i believe Lobbycontrol prevents it, but it also does several other things.

The best way to counter the light switch stuff without mods is just getting the "cozy lights" it can't be stored like other light sources such as the romantic table.

What happens when you play a game and come back to find the host has blocked the way into the ship and has died himself? You're ♥♥♥♥♥♥. When the host dies, what happens if he rages and sets the ship takeoff time to 2 seconds? What if they don't assign anyone to have access, or they assign the wrong person.

The real answer to your issues isn't restricting people, it's taking an extra 5-10 minutes to find a GOOD teammate/group via discord.

I like that there was a counter argument to what I suggested because it makes me see the error in my ways a little bit and can think of a new one, but whole point being, something needs to be done about it and I do think there is a solution to it to balance it out well to where it can’t be an issue for anyone, after seeing this I did think of a new one.

Only the host can rearrange the ship himself, however, they can’t place anything in front of the door blocking it, they can only place it really close to the wall next to the door and that’s it, and also can’t place anything near the lever preventing people from leaving.
2, anything that is movable can only be so close to each other,
3, if another player is standing in that spot, you can’t place anything in that spot (there is a trick where you can clip out of the ship with movable objects, and can sometimes result in getting stuck, hopefully this gets taken care of at some point too, and this idea prevents the host from doing it to someone else).

Either this or just go with one or 2 other solutions, just have a basic layout on the ship, nothing is movable anymore, or the host can have like 2 or 3 (maybe more) options to select from to how they want the ship to look like.

Maybe there is another counter argument to what I suggested if the host is allowed to move stuff idk, but as for the second and third suggestion, i genuinely don’t see what it would hurt to have this.

As for the taken off with the ship goes, only other solution i can think of is that once landing on a moon, no one is allowed (even the host themself) is allowed to leave the moon for at least 2 minutes (maybe less, maybe more, depending on what is a good time) everyone has a visual timer of how much time is remaining and once the timer is off, anyone can use the ship to leave, i feel like this will give everyone information and they can be cautious about it to be prepared if someone were to grief or not by just leaving the ship.

I’m just coming up with the best solution i can here because i really want this fixed somehow.

The mods seem to workout well, thanks for the suggestions, but one prevents people from buying anything from the terminal which makes me feel bad to use because i was dead and they were a good team to play with, and they needed to buy a shovel and stun grenade and they can’t get it. This is why I just want the base game to include something because using this against a good team makes me feel bad.

the anticheat mod doesn't prevent people from buying stuff. The mod lobbycontrol (the late company alternative does prevent it). Just know most mods come with a config file in which you can just turn on/off the features you like or dislike.

This game has only one developer and it's some guy in his early twenties who has over 50 million in his bank account. So i am not expecting a lot from him, except him doing what he thinks is fun.
