I enter a room sitting at a desk with weird things happening around me

I can't seem to load into the game and only get this room where I am sitting at a desk and the lights flicker, there's some sort of alien outside, and the computer in front of me says an error occurred. I don't recall changing anything and I just played the game yesterday. I have tried reinstalling and checking game file integrity.

Any suggestions?
