Secret moons are a bad idea
In some scenarios a secret moon can work out but having 2 moons locked behind secret names when the game is lacking new content as is doesn't seem like the right route to go down. Maybe having them show up on the terminal after you first drop there could be a good idea or have the auto pilot route you there randomly so that you can find it without knowing the name.

Either way the base game has been starved of content for a bit and locking stuff behind a secret that most wont find naturally seems like a bad idea.

i kinda agree, it would be cool to have a data log in an easy to find spot that mentions that there are moons not listed on the terminal to get people looking for the secret moons, but i also dont think its really that big of a deal.

The moons aren't hard to find out how to get to them ingame. If you've got a pair of eyes and fingers to type what you see, you'll find them easily.

thats untrue lol, they may be easy to find but not everyone is going to think to type them into the terminal, especially the one in the old birds bestiary

Makes me wonder though, is there any way to tell what weather they have? Do they even have weather?

the monitor above the lever on the ship should display the weather of the moon your orbiting at the bottom of its screen

I like them, it rewards the player for exploring and learning about the game.

It WOULD be cool if once you've visited a moon, that it would be listed in the moons list though for ease of access.

EXACTLY. Every player isn't going to know secret moons off-rip. They get familiar with the base moons and eventually they either find out about it themselves, or someone shows it to them otherwise.

Your knowledge of the game introduces new elements of the game.

I have to disagree on this one, secret moons are a good concept and can be really good and rewarding for the people that read the files or explore the moons.
Some aspects that could get some rework to make this even better would be:
- Add more than 2 hint for each moon, for example a second mention of 64-art on Titan or in the files could make it easier to find (same for Embryon)
- When a moon that you can explore is mentioned in a log, change slightly the color of the letters
- Unlock the found moons in the moons section of the terminal
i know this doesnt help but a lot of players may accidentally come across secret moons while browsing the wiki or smth

I disagree. If they weren't you would be complaining about the update having no lategame content.

wait wait theres secret moons lol?

Yeah lets suck the life out of the game by having it spoon fed to us.

Maybe for you it is.

Then I guess those people don't get to play on the moons because they have no interest in experiementing with the console. Or paying attention to basic trends like seeing every moon having numbers, a dash, then a word.

Those of us who aren't noodle brains will figure it out, and those who can't figure it out have this lovely thing called "The internet" they can do a basic search engine function called "Searching what these numbers and letters mean". Or ask your damn teammates because this is also a co-op game.

especially the one in the old birds bestiary

The game tells you that there's a new entry in the bestiary. If you're too lazy to check it, you deserve to miss out. It's there for a reason.

I'd say depends on the difficulty of finding it and the payoff from what the discovery is.
Some lil tweaking would be nice for visibility for the future.

Something like this I think is on the right track for better visibility, while still keeping the idea of a secret. I personally would've used Rend's shack the place to put the 2nd hint for the moon.

As it stands, one of them is worth it to go to eventually for a run. The other is simply for the experience, unsure if it'll eventually serve a different purpose since rn it's a "joke" area.
