PSA: Advanced Company Mod Discontinued
Don't have the details, there's some reddit posts about it, but from what I can gather the AC mod maker had some sort of dispute with another mod maker and delisted the entire mod from Thunderstore. So it's probably discontinued which sucks given one, it's a good mod and two, there's a bug that deletes all your scrap and items on ship when you reload a save.

Won't be stating my opinions on the "controversy" here, but it's safe to assume AC is dead.

It's not precisely discontinued but it's no longer on thunderstorm. (Needless to say I didn't updatea You'll need to manually download it now but if it's in download able modpacks then I assume you'll be able to get it in those.

Just last night I saw an odd update asking to update from version 1.1.2 to 69.69.69 (needless to say I didn't update as that seemed sketchy).

After that I checked back 5 min later on the website and it was gone. I found the creators discord and they talked all about the drama they get getting thrown at them because people want them to show their source codes due to allegations of code theft.

A lot of mod makers were also mad because AC pretty much killed their mod(s) as ir did what theirs did and so much more but all in one neat, modular and expansive package.

Manual downloads are a huge pain though. Also if it's not discontinued why delist it from Thunderstore? Doesn't seem to make much sense. I'm not gonna give my opinion on the "controversy", just stating things from my point of view as a player and mod user.
Guy freaked out because another mod existed that would make sure you have the default lethal company logo. That's what the game is so idk what his problem is 😂
No, the mod removed his added watermark of "Powered by AdvancedCompany" if you replaced the AdvancedCompany logo with a custom one. He got upset at this and demanded that the Thunderstore team remove his mod from the site.

He was also talking about making LethalLevelLoader obsolete and was talking mad water towards other devs, and was threatening legal action.

The unofficial Lethal Company modding Discord has the thread about what happened up, but that's a general summary of what I saw happened.

It was also made clear to me that "potatoe started the legal and copyright sh*tflinging that must be made clear"

tl;dr a lot of stupid drama from an arrogant mod dev

edit: he made an official statement in his discord about this, so i would advise checking there too if you want both sides

Don't care about the controversy or whatever, AC is back up on Thunderstore though so that's good.

I... can sort of understand that, LLL is super irritating to work with because while it DOES allow you to do things other mods for some reason have never implemented (like changing specific moon prices), attempting to make those changes almost always causes the game to bug out, either by removing the ENTIRE "moons" section of the terminal (making remembering what moons you have based on memory), or by bugging out the maps so they're stupidly large with maybe 600$ worth of scrap strewn across 10 objects which are never near each other. Neither is fun so I typically just don't bother trying to make these edits.

Still doesn't excuse insulting the work of other devs and legal action bluffs, but my god if we can get a more usable LLL it'd be great.

Someone's just needs to fork his mods so we can kiss his stupid drama crap goodbye forever.

AC Broke all the mods I had. Sad to see the perks go but oh well. i got other mods to fix that. Hope in the future its fixed. They really need fully custimizable hotbars.

Mod creators getting into the most pettiest of drama and throwing tantrums.

Tbh, probably a W.
I’m sure someone will make a better mod anyway.

Considering the dumpster fire that is the company that mad Skyrim and the game itself, wouldn't surprise me.

Advanced company was a great mod with a childish & untrustworthy creator. He put malicious code into his mod. (Mod checks if his watermark has been tampered, if it has malicious code is triggered making the mod or game nonfunctional.) because of this, should remain off thunderstore While its a loss it's better & safer to not have that kind of person around.
