How to play as a noob?

I got the game for my birthday, but every time I try to play or join a lobby, I can't join. I just want to play, I just want people to play with. It is really upsetting, I was so excited to play.

Are you getting a error when joining a lobby? If so you need to install the same mods as the host has. If you don't want to you can always host your own lobby.

If you receive a message saying " Error occurred" it's likely that the host is using certian mods that require anyone joining to have, as well.

Happens to me, too. I usually keep searching down the lobby list until I find an open game.

With that said, make sure that your internet connection is stable, since janky ones may affect your ability to connect to lobbies.

Hosting a public lobby yourself might also be a solution; you could even set a title for it, such as "New save", or "Interns welcome", for example.

iv never played bc i havnt been able to get in a game, hosting a lobby is beyond my realm of knowledge. i know i do not pick modded lobbies. i just cant get into any of them

making my own lobby is beyond me, i dont know any game mechanics, i havnt even watched any playthroughs. im the newest of the new, im going in completely blind. all my "play time" is just me attempting to join any game i can. my internet is top tier, i dont pick modded lobbies, i cant get into any lobby without being kicked right away :( i thought it would be like phasmo, but i can actually get a game on there

I know you are apprehensive about hosting your own lobby but if you continue to have problems it might be what you need to do. Or hope someone here will help you in game for a run to feel more comfortable but that might be past the realm of what others want to do.

It's not big to host. And everyone will take over in the end anyways. The only true job of the host is you have to 'land' the ship for the first time (go over to the lever and hold E when it prompts to land it). Other than that there isn't too much responsibility for the host.

You go to the computer, follow prompts. Moons is to look at which planet. If there is something (in these) that's a planet with weather making it harder. You type which planet and the c, hit enter. There is other things like 'store' to buy items but you start off with very little. And 'view monitor' is helpful when you are a little more seasoned and can ship mom or assist w/ turrets and mines.

The game is very learn as you go! Good luck fellow employee : 3

Add me if you're 18+ I know there's a lot of people complaining about the age thing.... but its not personal and most of the younger people in this game mod/hack which I aint about.

added, i feel like they should put like a symbol on accounts that are under 18 to remedy squeaker invasions

added! yea i just dont get how multiplayer games went so single player or cliquey. or games that require talking and nobody is. I miss just being able to interact with people on the mic.
