i want the option to move whatever i want when i play with friends - with or without mods
You'll have to excuse them, they don't like it when people use the full range of available tools in front of them to solve problems. For them it's much better to completely ignore the idea that Zeekers likely is working on these problems but might need either more time, isn't sure about the best option to implement, or doesn't want to take autonomy away from modders as once the option to change the game is gone it's gone forever. For them it's the board's fault the diamond peg can fit into the circle hole, and it's up for Zeekers to wipe their ass too.
As for the issue in general, you're always going to have people messing up the furniture. What happens when the host is the only one who controls it, and they use it to block the door so no one can get in/out after a tough run? What happens when the host dies? Can storage authorization be transferred? Or can this be a game ending issue when the host dies? Personally I think the best option is to either let things remain as is, or perhaps only allow furniture to be moved when in orbit.
No it's a victim prevention mentality. You come here to discuss solutions to your problems, but you keep having metaphorical unprotected sex with strangers and blaming someone else when it comes back to bite you. This IS the solution to your problem, and YES it requires a bit more work to pull off than to click a random lobby, but it's how you prevent yourself from having your furniture changed or having your game file hacked. Either take the risk or do the work, you can't impose further effort and inconvenience on others because you want everyone to behave like an adult when you aren't lifting a finger yourself.
If I'm constantly telling you to use mods, I'm not ignoring your issues than am I? Seems more like I addressed them.
