My friend became immortal from some bug

We and my friends have the same mods but my friend is for some reason immortal. Basically cant die. The only thing that killed him that his game crashed after he was in mud and we left him on the planet. He had the mud slow on him when we were on the ship. When we landed on the next moon. He started sinking in the ground like there was mud (The moon didnt have any weather conditions). His game crashed after that. We dont know what is causing his immortality. He tried to reinstall the game at least 4 times. Didn't help. We tried original game with no mods. Didn't either. We tried that he hosts the server still nothing got fixed.
If anyone knows about this i appreciate the help.

He probably downloaded some weird sussy godmode mod, and after uninstalling it left some files stored in the game which causes the bugs. No idea how to fix this. The only way is probably to manually find and remove the files.

Its actually a rare bug, known as the immortality bug. It can happen if you fall into a glitchy sploch of quicksand on Vow, March, Assurance, or Experimentation. It usually happens in modded games but, although slightly rarer, can happen in vanilla as well.

To fix it, you have to queue the teleporter on the person with the glitch, and hit them with a shovel/sign last second, right before they get teleported
and repeat it around four times
