Masked spawning everywhere?

We just had some games in a three player lobby where masked were spawning on almost every moon, even on gordion. We also had spawns on experimentation, vow and march. No mods that could modify monster spawn rates were used, also our host didn´t just troll us because he was just as confused about masked appearing every other round.
Did anyone have similar experiences recently?

Mods were indeed used, but we also used the same mods yesterday and the random masked spawns werent happening. The used mods were cosmetics + shiploot and persistent purchases, so no mob modifying.

I'm not sure whether those specific mods you've mentioned can alter the game in such a way, but I still feel like someone was also utilizing different ones that would let them spawn creatures at will.

This was happening to my group aswell but we don't use mods... we'd spawn on titan and masked were spawning outside of the doors and already heading towards the ship.. it freaked us out..

Same here, We've been experiencing masked on every map with no mods installed, maybe a bug.

the host of the lobby is lying then cause there is a mod going around called control company where the host can control the mobs. there is literally no other explanation other than the host using mods

Its a mod called ControlCompany. I had a game earlier with a kid using it and spamming Maskeds in every single moon.

Control company was NOT used by anyone in our lobby. Since multiple people here answered that they encountered the same bug even without mods, it just seems to be a lobby problem. We started another lobby today and didnt have the problem (with the same players and same mods mind you)

i was messing around with some basic mods and i had masked spawn with out the masks on them on a moon where they cant spawn

no yeah this is either a glitch or a rare occurrence thingy but they spawn for every dead person or something close to that

I find that weird because up until yesterday I wasn't using any mods (over 120 hours vanilla) and haven't had that issue. Mimic usually spawns on harder moons, pretty rare to spawn on lower level ones. Can have like 4 of them spawn at once, at least on Titan. Have had Mimic, Jester, and the ghost girl spawn on a low level moon once (not at the same time ofc).

Alright, So masked can spawn basically any time. One easy way to tell if your host is modding is if they're moving or not while the masks are making odd movements. AI is AI. You can tell when AI is AI unless the host has more than half a braincell, unlike half of the lethal company playerbase. (No offense.)

i can only see the jester spawn for march as lower tier moons

This happened to me aswell. Me and my buddy saw a Masked everytime we closed the Shuttle Door. Its weird and it even happend In Gordonion. Than the Masked dissapears after 1 second of Spawning, and it only appears when the shuttle door closes,idk why.
