Masked spawned on Gordion?

So I was in a 3 player lobby, and we were selling some stuff on gordion, when one of us said they heard something and maybe saw a shape moving. I went over to investigate, and I saw a player running behind some shipping crates. I tried to follow it but it had vanished when I turned the corner. I went back to the ship, and we all looked around, and kept seeing what looked like a player running around in the distance. At first I thought we were just confusing ourselves with eachother, but then all three of us were all very clearly on the ship, and we saw another player running behind the crates. One of us went to investigate, and didn't come back, and then the second one went out, and came back screaming that there were two masked, and slammed the door shut while we flew away. Presumably the player that went to investigate got infected. But, I didn't think enemies spawned on gordion, and none of us had put on a mask; (we had also never collected one this run) we were all accounted for. I'm pretty sure the lobby was vanilla too, what happened?

one of ur teammates were prob a hacker with mob spawning tools, i've had them spawn 20 masked once when i had like 2k in ship

Something similar happened to me and a friend, a third employee was just there and then walked behind the containers, when i ran after him he was gone. The friend allegedly saw it too in a later game. I'm still not fully convinced he wasn't trolling

Control Company mod, the host of the server did some funny trolling by spawning in as a masked, going behind the crates and disappearing. I do it all the time.

Also, It has to be a player controlling it, using control company you can give the enemy you spawned in as control of itself, (the regular ai.)
However, when doing this on the company building it will simply not move, as the masked enemy is NOT supposed to spawn there.

HI THIS HAPPENED TO ME TOO!!!!!! i dont think its a player controlling it, because when we first saw it, the host did remember he had a masked mod installed, and so we all rejoinned in vanilla and it was still there. have no idea what it was!!!! its not control company or anything. so. i have no idea? youre the only one ive seen who has also had this happen though

Yeah, my friend and I also see mask spawn at Gordion, but only watching us and then vanishing for the first ~15 min before it spawns on one of us and gets us. We both have the same mods, none of which contain this. 100% neither of us are doing this or have something installed

Thanks author of this discussion, thanks to you, the friend I trolled with the Control Company mod believed that Gordion has a mask, because he started googling if other players had similar situations.
