[request] Accessibility of in game voice chat
Hiya,
Was wondering if it would be possible to add an accessibility feature to make in game voice chat clearer and easier to understand. The distortion that makes it sound "tinny" and like it's going through comms has the unfortunate side effect that I literally cannot understand what my friends are saying, even with everything on max volume. I'm certain that a lot of people with hearing problem of various sorts would be extremely thankful for this. I definitely know that this issue renders the game outright unplayable for me

Ta.

Whats the point of even playing this game where the best experience is from using the in-game voice chat if you're just going to use Discord?

They are literally asking for clearer audio. The entire charm of proximity chat is hearing team mates in the distance, through walls, walkies, etc. If you remove the masterful sound design, you remove the charm.

You know in game voice is done by a sound engine that x game uses right?

Phasmo used multiple engines for this and one is more clear then another.

Discord doesnt necessairy give 'clearer' audio btw.

If your audio is not clearer in discord then your mic sucks.

Me: Phasmo used multiple engines for this and one is more clear then another.

You totally missing the point and trying to blame it on a microphone, not understanding what people mean by clear audio: Your mic sucks

Yeah bud. My 200 USD discreet microphone is probally better then your headset mic.

Uh no lol, I've heard expensive mics sound like garbage. I'm using the headset with the best mic in the world.

Are you two seriously being egotists about microphones?

I'm just saying. There are cheaper headsets with better mics than studio mics.

It's all about personal preference, some prefer studio mics and others prefer headset mics. It's just silly to argue about and especially the rather classist comment from the latter.
