Lethal Company

No Friends No Fun
Great meme potential with friends. Game utterly sucks if you don't have friends who own the game. You need a single player fix for this, or at least the ability to buy a keycard/remote, or something a long those lines for the doors(turrets are fine imo).

Game isn't actually difficult even though its a poorly coded Death Stranding x Dark Souls title slapped into No Man's Sky territory. But its Early Access, so there's plenty of room to fix stuff.

I don't play with people online because I can't stand the trolling. Single Player update. Just let me buy a one time remote and a helmet mounted flashlight upgrade. I don't want to mod the game in early access because every update BREAKS them and I learned my lesson with mods and EA games a decade ago.

Also, if i put scrap in my locker, it shouldn't be lost on death. Just what's physically on the ground. Immersion breaking when the ship dematerializes what you've found on a previous planet because you died. Esp when its from something silly like falling through the floor.

this game is literally nothing like any of the three games you mentioned

Dunno how this game has anything to do with any of those three games, but you do you I guess? You're right, it isn't fun without friends. That's why it is a cheap little party game that you can experience with friends OR join a discord and just play with randoms.

I get what you're saying, but I think the game is primarily designed with friends in mind. The Steam page saying stuff about doing it solo is def strange with this in mind, I doubt you could get very far without even 1 more person unless you're already so committed to the game you're forming meta strats to challenge yourself as a fan. It would be hard to become a fan just playing this alone, so much of its charm comes from a bunch of players interacting with the systems in place with an enforced time limit. Like yea, a Solo Mode with remote terminal access would be a bandaid fix but I think it'd be pretty bland.

Also no hate but I don't see how it's any of these three things.

I get that. But like i stated, not everyone has friends willing to play the game. 10$ isn't a lot, hell i paid 3x that for Rust in early access. And in an EA title without a previous following, no "single player" mode can be detrimental to game growth. Esp when its the way LC is. At least this isn't the finished product.

Thanks for the lack of hate. The other clowns proved exactly why I don't typically play online with other people. Randos just troll.

No Man's Sky = Poorly coded space exploration
Death Stranding = Glorified Amazon Prime Delivery(scrap)
Dark Souls = One shot/No defense mechanics/epic new player frustration

The dev can bandaid fix the remote door system until they put something better in place. Or i'll just mod the game myself once it gets out of EA. Not going through that nightmare again trying to make mods for a game that is constantly updated and breaks said mods(looking at you subnautica)

Its still fun though. Just tired of finding doors that the ship has to unlock while another player is staring at it.

I also am in the boat of thinking the game needs a reworked balance for 2 or less players, losing all of your loot & having to deal with the same quota just doesn't make any sense & you might as well restart the game at that point. It isn't fun at all. I want to add to this that they should also buff stamina regen & duration, since you already have enough to deal with amidst the weight slowdowns, terrible running speeds, limited item slots, etc.

As per mods, most mods I had didn't break from the change to version 45 except for the increased lobby mods & like a few small interactions being made a little funky on some mods, but all those things were fixed within a few hours or within the day. Not to mention if you liked playing with mods there is a beta option for rolling back to an older version so your broken mods still work.

I just hope the guy will eventually add steam workshop support to make the whole modding & joining process much easier on the players.

i didnt know you could roll the game version back. Hm

An adrenaline vial, or something could add to the immersion with stamina. I understand the game isn't meant to be cheesed, but some of the mechanics as is definitely need tweaking. Bandaid fix, something while they hash out the issues.

So far my favorite bug is trying to turn items in to the company and i get my face ripped off by a random shadow monster(not the one who runs away from flashlights either). I would like a "you got your ass ate by NPC" on your death screen, so i know what I died by.

TZP Inhalant or whatever is pretty similar: It gives you reduced stamina consumption, but it does blur your visor though.

The instructions on the ship tell you to avoid making noise near the counter & to not ring the bell too many times if I recall, also you can scan enemies to get entries about them giving their name & habits or potential weaknesses.

I was carrying stuff to the Bell. I hadn't even rung it yet. Then earlier this morning I spammed it until the hook took everything

Does not resolve the issue of locked doors. Once the game is out of EA and has a stable release i'll just make Subnautica style blowtorch to cut through doors. As I don't feel like doing EA Mods anymore.
