Landmine Changes
What's up with the change the landmines? They trigger instantly when stepped on now, instead of when stepped off. I thought being able to sacrifice an item (maybe only a large item) to step off a landmine is both engaging and immersive. It doesn't feel like a gameplay contrivance and it's more interactive.

you can still use stun grenade casings to trigger mines i think
this update as a whole seems like it was focused on making the game more difficult/punishing, and that involved removing a lot of tricks/cheese (although i wouldn't call this cheese obviously) to make certain enemies and hazards more dangerous. this change specifically feels kind of arbitrary, since landmines felt like they were in a good spot, but i'd argue they're not really too bad after the change either.

No more camera man saving a stranded loot rookie on a mine anymore, can't have fun, no railing, no mines, what's next, turrets instantly activate?

I would not be surprised if this is the next change

Good to hear, especially since I just experienced a landmine at a fire exit entry point lol...

Phew, glad that's the case. It seemed like such a strange change. Thanks for backing it up with a source btw.

Lmao you people are so insanely toxic. As soon as something changes that you don't like, you just go off. Look at yourselves... :steamfacepalm:

Turrets are in SUCH a good place right now tho. Brakken can kill you cuz you weren't 360ing, a jester hit your friend and they didn't tell you, snare flees, there's a lot of deaths that just aren't in your control. But Turrets? Every single death to a turret is deserved, and the brief break before they shoot is what makes it so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ funny. "ooh loot" "brrrr" "TURRE-" like by god, the fact they only kill you off guard is such a strong enemy identity.
