Having an issue where my left click button isn't working

Not entirely sure how it happens but every now and then my left click just doesn't function at all. Don't know if anyone else has had this issue, I am currently playing it through my steam deck, not sure if that would have an effect on it.

Steam Deck in the Steam Dock with a usb mouse and keyboard connected and the mouse left click seems to only work sometimes once when you first pick up a tool. If you drop it and pick it up again it will work one time again.

Same. Also on Steam Deck and cant use tools or flashlights.

for those of you wondering how to maybe fix this. my buddy used a mouse and keyboard template on his deck and the issue went away
