Thoughts about the "Skinwalker" mod?

I think its causing my game stutters, so ill report back if its the issue or not

Edit: so far, after uninstalling it my game no longer lags

That's because they need to download the mod too.
Always make sure to check if the mod is for the host or for everyone.

didn't play it yet but watched a lot of videos about it, seems to be really amazing, i will add it to play with my friends in our next game session

Thank god I found this post because I seem to be the only one in my friend group that can't run this mod without stuttering like a parrot every couple seconds

Thank you so much!! Game was stuttering so bad, tried every "fix lethal company stutter" article and nothing worked! But uninstalling the mod it runs beautifully!

A shame the name has to be appropriate-y as the idea is otherwise really cool. Give the name an adjustment and I'd love to see it absorbed into the game.

Yeh, but particularly the voice mimicry. I love the idea of an enemy that resembles and pretends to be a player, and that mimic enemy capturing and repeating clips of player chatter is full Annihilation creepy.

The Brakken around the corner going "Oooh I found a steering wheel" is just a bit silly. Not really scaring me or anything.

I had one of the monsters randomly say "I want those pickles" earlier lol. It's honestly both really funny and sometimes scary. I'm just waiting for a special enemy made for that concept to be made

misconception is that this is just for the bracken, its not. every creature apart from the giant worm and forest giant has a chance to say a recorded audio file every 15-40 seconds. this can be customised but by default its almost every creature.
it's also client side, so every audio recording you hear, wont be heard by your friends. from what i can tell you cant make it sync up with friends.

^that last part im actually not entirely sure. reading the config it says if the host changes the config, then everyones will sync to that same config, but i cant see it playing an audio file from your pc to everyone else.
