Update was delayed due to some bug jank and some inspiration to add something extra to the update. Current word I've heard is this weekend if things go well, but you really should get another game or two so you don't break down like this at the first inconvenience.
Oh wait, doesn't own the game. Rip me
Give him the time and encouragement. He's all alone.
This is going to be another Yanderedev situation. But please stay subscribed to his patreon so he can commission furry art with your money and put out an update every 4 months. He literally took 2 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MONTHS to add a pumpkin and 1 new enemy to the game, and released this supposed halloween update 3 weeks after halloween.
10$
As far as zeekers was aware when he made this game it was going to be a passion project with an incredibly small (if any at all to begin with) following, it wasn't up to him for the game to blow up especially in an as early state as it is
the game wasnt made SOLELY for money, I doubt he cares too much about bringing in other people and paying them to make HIS game for him, sure it'd make things faster but I think the basis is that youre looking at this as "he needs to make BIG plans for a BIG game" rather than "this dude really doesnt care THAT much about how popular his game is"
call me stupid if you like, but this game really only seems to be made for enjoyment, not monetary incentive
Well you are one of the few people here I can agree with, he CAN be lazy and he has no obligation to actually care about the game. That is true.
However people should be honest and recognize that this dev has the work ethic of a toddler and doesn't really care much. What I don't like is how delusional people are and how much disbelief they are willing to suspend despite Zeekerss proving himself to be very, very slow with updates.
He has the right to let this game die. I have the right to call him a lazy ♥♥♥♥ for it. And people have the right to defend him and say "update soon!!" until the player count drops to the triple digits and this game is forgotten like every other dime a dozen indie project that some immature dev got lucky with.
As for an actual, self-serving "why" on the part of the dev- He could have the best job on Earth forever if he plays his cards right, but he is choosing to rest on his laurels for a year or two before becoming a burger flipper. He is easing of the gas the moment he gets the chance to live a relatively easy life. He could never even work again, he could do just fine by hiring freelancers and devs and just putting the stuff together. That is your "why". Free of any moral ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ or obligation, he could stand to gain a lot, personally, just by actually caring.
