My guess would be that weeping angels look more statue-like than coil heads and would be more unsettling if they were to move when not being observed.

Yes they are lol. Killing you is a pretty big threat, Weeping Angels sending you back by 70 years is a blessing by comparison. I just feel like the designs of coilheads lend themselves more to the atmosphere, just an opinion.
I also didn't say anything about making it more threatening. Not that removing the sound completely would even accomplish that anyway seeing as how the game is scarier WITH sound. I was just pointing out a discrepancy in the mod.
They CAN kill you, they just prefer not to. And they could "just" send you back in time, you'll be on a deserted (with Monsters) moon with no help, no one to talk and no escape (could send you in the backroom too)
And they can manifest themselves from videos (imagine with the Helmet Cameras mod).
So anyway, scarier.
