tell that to Warner Bro's, with the nemesis system that they wrongfully got the patent for
Oh, I didn’t know that. I know v little about it tbh, but I’d imagine if it got out of hand something could be done right?
I dunno, I think everyone generally hates the concept of someone being lazy more than making more money. Otherwise you’d have to be mad at a very specific percentage of people. Laziness should never be rewarded or tolerated anywhere.
Like if you’re gonna do anything in life, don’t half ass it. Work for it. I never really followed the “ur just jealous” counter because its rather petty and unfounded in it’s own right - you can usually tell pretty clearly if someone is jealous about something as paltry as money.
Inspired by isn't a pass. Author protection states that an agreement needs to be reached between the author and the copy's author to say that their is copyright.
If you write and try to sell a story that's nearly identical to Harry Potter, doesn't matter if you said you were 'inspired', it's still theft, and blatant disrespect of the original work.
So, if the kid behind that roblox game didn't get an explicive statement from LC's dev to copy the concept that blatantly, it's copyright.
It wouldn't be copyright if the concept was the only copied things, cause salvaging ♥♥♥♥ with monsters tracking you isn't new. What's new is the monster, the branding (off brand is CP infringement yes) behavior and overall setting. And that is subject to copyright.
So, in the off chance that LC's dev takes action, that kid's in trouble and so is roblox for hosting the game without proper verification
