Shotgun is useless...

Is it just me or shotguns are barely usable in v45? Shot a spider 4 times - 0 damage, shot a mimic 2 times - didn't feel it (don't tell me that this is a skill issue). Only if you are lucky you can kill SOME enemies with one shot... Some enemies are just invincible for no reason like Jester, eyeless dog (only for shotguns, lol), Giants, Hygrodere, SCP-173 wannabe. And since hitboxes (or shotgun shots) are broken it feels like shovel is a better choice since it is way more reliable in terms of actually dealing damage and it is a lot easier to get. Why not make it so you can kill a giant with 2 shots from a shotgun? Why not give shotgun a buff allowing it to kill enemies you can't kill with a shovel and fix related bugs thus making shotgun much more profitable considering the fact that the only way to obtain this weapon is via killing a strong and dangerous enemy?

If you get grabbed as the worm comes out the worm will kill him instead if I am right.

yeah theres a popular video for it, but its unlikely because very rare chance for both appear
at same time and right position at right time
