It means that you cannot just mindlessly throw yourself into danger.
There would be no point to ever return to the ship at all if there was no risk involved with not making it back.
You still have to be exactly as careful, because you want as much loot as possible, and losing a whole day is more than enough punishment.
Had a run where we had like 2700 quota and 900 on the ship, we made 900 day 1, then died day 2, and we still had a chance to make 900 on the last day. Without the mod the run would have been instantly over because of one random bracken attack.
Give me something that guarantees your (loot's) survival that is not "one player is afk in the ship" and i would agree that the mod would not be needed.
As long as "being AFK" is part of the meta, i prefer the mod, so all players can play and nobody has to AFK.
If you all go in and die, that’s on you and your team.
If it was for solo I wouldn’t mind.
Otherwise there’s probably a mod for it.
