Mic echoing

My mic is echoing when playing with this one friend on lethal company, but not in public servers and only on lethal company. He can't hear it but my voice is playing back. What settings should he change?

besides that, we also:
1) made the mic sampling worse in the same settings;
2) turned down the in game voice volume of the ppl hearing the echo
this seems to have worked

This is the only game I have this issue with. Hopefully there is some ingame fix soon because all the other suggestions to fix do not work

The person who can't hear it is having the issues. Are they playing without a headset?

try headphones? or a headset?
