I doubt if other bigger companies care to try that the dev will even have a chance.
Because of streamers and youtubers this guy made a killing off this game
Most are generic af in hopes of kids falling for it and spending money for upgrades.
It’s why simulators are so common there and do so well.
Does a copyright exist for the game "Lethal Company"? Yes. Does that copyright cover anything you might expect it to cover? Probably not.
Copyright protects original works of creativity. Stuff like assets and logos. Stuff you can prove that you yourself (or whoever we're talking about) made. Copyright doesn't extend to gameplay mechanics because you probably didn't actually come up with them. So Roblox users are free to make their own 4-player atmospheric horror experience taking place in randomly generated facilities with monsters spawning in increasing amounts as a timer ticks down where the goal is to gather nonspecific items to sell to a faceless entity to earn money and avoid getting fired. As long as they don't actually rip any assets from Lethal Company (and to be clear, I mean literally steal the actual asset - they can recreate it themselves and that's fine) or call their experience "Lethal Company" or use the logo then they can't get a copyright strike.
If you want an example of just how much a ripoff can get away with, google Street Fighters Vs. Fighters History.
and they abuse children to make them their game and profit off their %70 as %30 actually going to the creator.
But I mean seeing it copyrighted would be real funny thing... But I guess Roblox straight up ignore it just like I said they do not care about you unless you're also corporation. They're like CCP. And thats aall Im gonna talk about.
