Nah, I think he just probably mentioned it as a general thing, like saying for an alpha release of a game “Don’t know how long it’ll be till we get to beta”

Or could be just a general milestone, maybe has a plan for it since I too would personally prefer that say once the game has a 10th version (10,20,30,40,50,60,etc) it’ll have a decently big changes with in between being smaller.

Though I don’t believe he’s trying to imply there will be one, I imagine there will be but not the next update, stable or not.

Seeing as updates v40 and v45 have had steam announcements made about them, it's not a farfetched assumption to expect v50 to be next, especially with it being mentioned in the patreon post.
Additionally, it would be strange to push v47 unchanged to the stable branch. If something got changed, it would no longer be v47 at that point.

This is my reference. No, I have not checked ingame yet or looked at Discord. There is no patch note thread for a version 48, hence why I assume that this isn't the version we are on.

EDIT: I have checked ingame now and yeah you're right, sorry about that.

well good news, a tiny patch got put out sometime and it's on v49 now, looks like v50 will for sure be the next update as long as we don't get a v49.5 lol
