I'm gonna keep this as short as possible.

The only reason this game is still alive is because of modders who keep adding new stuff, new moons, fixing bugs, etc... (basically they are doing Zeekerss's job for free).

Are you still gonna defend multi-milionare 3 months after? He has our money now and he's enjoying it not caring about the game anymore. Probably the thing every single one of us would do so I can't blame him at this point, but I have every right to blame all of you who keep defending him living in a delusion that just because he is solo developer we have to see new v0.0001 update every 3 months.

If modders didn't exist, I bought the game for dirt cheap and enjoyed it plenty still regardless.

I'm also inclined to believe that I'm beyond assuming a dev's intentions. These topics are often baseless, at best strawmanned, but definitely assumptious.
I myself prefer to just wait while everyone's just throwing noise around. If the dev does something cool, respect to him. If the dev does nothing, well Ill just mod it or drop the game entirely, do something else with my life and just accept the fun I had in the timeframe.

Can we talk about the fact that the game came out just in time for holidays? Holidays that it would make perfect sense that someone who didn't expect their little indie game to blow up to have a decent assortment of plans with family or just for their own rest away from the game. At least give the game a solid year of being available before assessing their actual update rate and quality. For all we know they update super slow but will hit really hard per update. Or they could easily start updating almost constantly but in short bursts. I am betting since it is a mod heavy game they will keep the updates few but dense so modders don't have to constantly keep up with changes. If they updated to often all those precious mods would be at risk of becoming broken and unplayable. Be patient. And remember just paying for something doesn't entitle you to much more then what the product was when you purchased it bar any exuberant advertised expectations that may have been levied prior to purchase.

Man's literally so conditioned to GaaS titles that they can't stand indie breakouts not getting the same update frequency / output. Yet another example of people who don't know anything about game development assuming that all indie devs work at the same pace.

Personally, for $10, I got my money's worth (and then some) just off the base content alone while playing with friends - as did a lot of other people. I still play in plenty of random groups that use 0 mods, so clearly there are still plenty of people playing the base game and enjoying it.
