Can't host or join online servers

so i just bought this game to play with some of my friends, since i have a pretty under average PC i wanted to test some solo to see if i can run the game smoothly. When i tried to join a server it wont show any, when i try to host and click confirm it just brings me back to the main menu. I could only test the game after launching it in LAN mode.

ik theres a lot of others posts like this rn, but i heard some say its cause of mods or something, but how can that be when i just bought the game. So i just believe its servers are having problems or are down

it shouldnt be since all my games on steam are allowed on both antivirus and firewall (aka not blocked)

ok idk what worked but i did these steps to fix it:
1. reinstalled the game
2. restarted my pc
3. went into local files and ran "Lethal Company" as admin

For the others having this issue, you might also try to right click the game in your Steam library, select Properties, then find "Verify the Integrity of Game Files" in the menu that opens. If you have any corrupted files from the install, Steam will redownload and fix them.

I can't host any it never fills my lobbies I've tried everything mentioned plus more with no change
