How to join friends Modded Server

Hello, do we have a guide for how to join someones Modded Server

My friends downloaded the Thunderstore app for Mods to install mods, Do I have to install it as well?

Both of you need to have the exact same mods installed, with the exact same configuration.
There are a few exceptions, but unless you know about them or they have been specified on the mod page, assume that you need exactly the same that your friend uses.

Then you can just use Steam's friends list to invite them.
