why do i hear scary noises

i keep hearing random noises on any planet when i play alone. its not ghost girl or any monster since it happens on the company building and in orbit too. its things like a man laughing or a gasp. its freaky

I don't really know the reason for this but i would have to assume since your alone you wouldn't expect to hear a persons voice other than the ghost girls voice so it just adds to fear factor while playing alone.

It's part of the ambience. Honestly you kind of get used to it in solo since in Multiplayer it tends to get chaotic enough that you forget they exist.

It's part of your invisible "insanity meter." You hear it more when you're alone because that's what fills it the most, as well as being in darkness. You might hear metal creaking, a baby crying, a man laughing, a girl saying "hey," gasping, chimes, rocks being kicked, etc.

me and a friend were chillin while in orbit, heard a cough, and then a laugh, while in orbit, bc we were jus chatting, ♥♥♥♥ be scary but i wonder if its just ambience

Its like Minecraft and Cave Noises, environmental ambiance to keep you on your toes. They happen both inside and outside the facility.. Note that the masks do the same too, ones sobs and the other ones giggles/cackles.

Cool feature to have if you run Solo's.

i believe these are ambience noises but take note that the the comedy and tragedy masked items make laughing and crying noises when in your inventory

man laughing: maybe a masked, company building can rarely spawn maskeds, only if you put the mask.

I had on the ship, before I start the game.
On an empty ship, without masks or something else.

So it´s not only if you have masks on your ship.

Looks like it´s random.
