Controller not working with mods?

I use a PS5 controller coz its just easier for me given my set up, & the controller works no problem on vanilla, but when I run the game with mods it doesn't want to work? I've tried a 360 controller as well, & have also tried to use DS4Windows, but nothing fixes it. I was able to use my controller a few time with mods, but then it just randomly.. Stopped & hasn't worked again. I've been using the same mods & everything is updated, so I'm not sure what the issue is, or if maybe its a specific mod, or what the issue could be, so I'm hoping that someone else may have had the same issue, & hopefully fixed it, or at least knows the answer as to why it doesn't work.

After you load into the ship, go into your settings and set the controller settings to default. I was having the same issue and it worked for me. Hopefully it will work for you too. 👍

i have found that some mods are just.. straight up incompatible with controllers because of conflicts &/or things they change, so it could be a mod issue because so far the default thing has only not worked for me once, & we found it was one of the modded destinations causing the issue for whatever reason.

You have to rebind your controller in settings to your keyboard. Example being going to keyboard for jump and pressing A.

Some mods honestly just will not let you use controller. I’ve noticed the issues with the bigger lobby mods, certain moons, & even certain suit mods. It could also be affected by mods that add to your hot bar/inventory, although I’ve only used one mod like that before so I can’t say for certain. Unfortunately if setting the keybinds doesn’t work, then you’ll have to play around with your mods until it stops happening.
