This will try to maximize the amount of branching during generation to create a more spreaded out map, instead of a deeper map.
I find myself now checking near to the exits only if a fire exit spawns near the main entrance, i check for loot near those doors but i then go hunting for bees to make up for bad layouts.
This is bad game design and shouldn't be defended, the fact it happens a lot can be very off putting, fire exits should spawn a long way away from the entrance, not 2 rooms over, to encourage going deeper inside.
It's not really the games fault, its just, the devs coded way of making quick internals, i'm sure the dev will make changes to it overtime to be less silly, but until then, bees can be a good alternate if you do get a bad layout.
