Lobbies are active, albeit sometimes bug out (still impressive for 10 quid made by one guy). Honestly, people need to learn what dead game actually means. Hype has fallen a but yes, like any type of trend, but the game's still fun and very early, so expect increased numbers with each updates, and more clowns in the forum claiming they know something about how to design games

This is a fairy reacent game, which keeps getting update after update. Also there are still new users buying and joining the community. I don't think it's dead yet.

These numbers will fluctuate based on work and sleep times for the average adults in the western hemisphere.

The DAILY average is closer to 120K (https://steambase.io/games/lethal-company#steam-charts) and I'm using the REAL WORD average not just randomly used word. Meaning a statistical mean of the collection of a set of numbers. Not currently playing players which is not an average which is what you are doing and calling it an average.

Massive player count spikes (and subsequent drops) are normal for any game. We just got an update earlier this month so the player counts are still coming off that high. 60k is more than respectable - it's actually extremely impressive. 4-player co-op games can persist off of much, much less.

all online games have luls in playercount when it gets updated most will return. an ebb and flow.

You are not ready for the V50 wave of players.

The game is in Early Access. Some people will fall off from knowing the game isn't finished yet. But to be dead, you'd have to have trouble finding a lobby, and I don't think we're there with this.
