That doesn't work and only serves to make the audio imperceptibly quiet. Making the voice that the steam deck picks up louder or quieter is not a solution to this problem.
The game needs a sensitivity threshold, just like every other game with voice chat ever; because sensitivity thresholds are a useful thing that people put into games for a reason.
None of that precludes the fact that this is a basic feature that is present in many games for a very good reason; and it would benefit many people.
