You missed the point, it's not about needing extra keys, just being able to recognise those inputs. My mouse has buttons and the one nearest my thumb uses F24 when pressed, this is because it's not used in other applications or games, but is recognised in most games, discord and clipping apps (Geforce Experience).
So having F13-24 recognised in the games means people who use those keys wont need to rebind their devices to use PTT.
V or T might be free in this game, but the next game it wont, and then I need to rebind again or set up profiles for the hundreds of games out there.. it's much less hassle to just use F13-24.
They're really useful when you want a keybinding that is usable across many apps (bar this one :P) and don't want that keybinding to interfere with anything
Keep in mind - ANY GAME - no game accepts these because no game knows what to do with my non-standard keys. It requires special software to make them function at all, but they cannot be recognized by other programs as keybinds.
It would be an insane task to account for every keyboard's different macro and special keys that aren't usually found on standard keyboard layouts.
mouse 4 and 5 have browser back/forward binds by default in windows, windows recognized f13-24 by default
