Anyone else think the jester is really lame?
The jester is so stupid because if one spawns in then you just have to leave, and you can't go back in because it'll just find you again so basically you just have to leave. I think it should be removed or reworked because at the moment it's just an anti-fun enemy...

I think it should have a cooldown, but at the same time you can avoid it by going to the other entrance.

Everyone has to leave after it activates in order for it to deactivate.

In which case it has to go through it's process of following people to then wind up.
Communication is very important, whenever to ask for teleport or to tell everyone to bail due to jester.

Whiles active it knows everyone's location so you either leave or die. Hiding is not an option.

it would be nice if there was more of a counter to it tbh, but i like the jester
maybe once its head is out of the box it could be killable or something

Once you actually consider what it does and the available counterplay it is really boring and unfun in the current game state.

It forces you out of the building for 30s irl which is a considerable amount of ingame time. It literally cripples the ability to engage with the game... for manor maps.
This is the messed up thing, the Jester is a joke on Facility. It is easily baited behind a blast door allowing you to trap it for the rest of the match. You have to get incredibly rare rng to not have a trap zone for the jester generate.

My experiences with it are limited, but I'd say it's roughly as bad as a Coil-head. It demands constant attention and disrupts everything making it really hard to do anything in the facility once it spawns.

Considering Psychos end to his stream earlier was him being killed by a jester who didn't make any wind up sound and came out of nowhere ending his run, i would say that jester are indeed lame lol

The jester is designed for tension, instead of freely going where you want, now you have a limited amount of search time before you must leave, staying will be punished etc.

Jester is actually a monster that works better in singleplayer ironically lol.

There technically is a solid counter for Jesters.
When they pop, you can stun them and it resets their speed back to zero. It takes time for it to build up speed and be dangerous, so you can kinda babysit it with a radar booster, similar to how one person can babysit coilheads just by looking at them.

Not what I said though. Winding up is before the pop, I specifically referenced how it affects them after they pop (after finish winding up). This is an incredibly strong counter and it nearly nullifies the Jester entirely.

yeah also nullifies 2 teammates since one is babysitting the jester while one is spamming the flash command
