teleporters
love the game so far. one thing i was thinking about was the teleporters. it kinda sucks dropping everything when teleported. i get that not being able to be teleported with full inventory could be kind of a balance thing. i was thinking however that at least being able to keep the item you're holding would be nice. like inverse teleporting with a flashlight or something. or more-so just being able to only keep equipment during a teleport and no scrap. or maybe even allowing upgrades to the teleporter to be purchasable like ship upgrades that allow you to keep items. thoughts?

The main use for the teleporter is to recover the bodies as to not get hit with a harsh penalty at the end of the day because most of your team died. That being said, I suppose being able to at least carry back the specific item you are holding would be fair.

Then again, that would also mean that the bee collection meta would revolve around simply teleporting you back.

I get not being able to teleport scrap back. That would make things too easy. You could condense runs and get all your heavy scrap back early in the day, and runs later in the day would lose a huge portion of the risk. Apparatus runs from deep in the facility would also lose their risk.

One solution could be to make flashlights and walkies teleport-safe, but nothing else. Maybe there's a teleporter cooldown penalty, and/or the teleporter screeches and risks attracting monsters if bringing back any inventory items.

Or there could be more expensive flashlights or walkies that are teleport-safe. You'd still drop them when your character dies, so there's still a risk of losing them, but it would allow you to keep those basic things on you when teleporting in or out.

Or in keeping with the game's theme of bad luck, allow you to teleport with any item you're holding, but there's a chance the teleporter malfunctions, sends the player and item somewhere random (indoors or outdoors) and breaks for the rest of that day. The chance of malfunction and breakage increases by the weight and value of the item. If it breaks, it's noisy, it might cut the ship's power, and it makes the ship unable to take off for another hour.

In other words, make it extremely high risk, high reward.

game's kinda morbid in a way.. the tele's aren't meant to save a teammate but to recover a body so you don't have to pay the fee. especially since it takes so long to teleport and it has a cooldown
