Then again, that would also mean that the bee collection meta would revolve around simply teleporting you back.
One solution could be to make flashlights and walkies teleport-safe, but nothing else. Maybe there's a teleporter cooldown penalty, and/or the teleporter screeches and risks attracting monsters if bringing back any inventory items.
Or there could be more expensive flashlights or walkies that are teleport-safe. You'd still drop them when your character dies, so there's still a risk of losing them, but it would allow you to keep those basic things on you when teleporting in or out.
In other words, make it extremely high risk, high reward.
