Diversity mod makes navigating impossible
I've come across a problem that you might be looking for a solution to. If you use mods via Thunderstore and use the Diversity mod, you may notice that the dark spaces with no light are now completely pitch black. The mod focuses on giving monsters like the Braken more abilities like shutting off the lights for a period of time. I'm guessing while tweaking the Brakens abilities to control the lights, the creator may have made the dark completely pitch black. The flashlight is noticeably less effective too. Now if these effects are what you're looking for then keep the mod, but the effects were not listed in the mods information and I didn't want my game to be much harder, and I couldn't figure out which mod was causing this. SO if you're having the same issue as me look to see if you have the Diversity mod enabled and uninstall so you can actually see where you're going. Hope this helped.

Just installed the mod having this problem as well as the host. My friend has the mod and he says he can see fine however.

What? Never said it was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mod or that it was intentional. Was just trying to let others know that those effects came with the mod so they could save themselves from troubleshooting like I did. Clearly your monkey brain didn't understand that though. Don't really know why you felt the need to comment, but do whatever makes you feel good about yourself I guess?

You can edit the mod in the config to remove the pitch black effect

Could you please specify how? like which settings and the values they should be set?

in the config folder, you open Chaos.Diversity.cfg, you search for the Full Darkness and change it to false

You may also get the LethalConfig mod, and is very useful for quickswapping config settings.

The mod description mentions this feature, in the "players" section. So the dev did it intentionally, made a very nice setting for it, but it may not be obvious if you do not read full description.

Most of mods have crazy good configurations, that's why I took my time to go through all CFG files in Thunderstore Mod Managers and verify them. It gives you A LOT of control over your game.
