Mic not working unless I shout / scream.

Just bought the game and couldn't get the mic to work. I use steelseries sonar application for my mic, but I've tried using my normal microphone input didn't work either. My mic works fine in any other application.
Things I tried already ;

Reinstalling VC Redist
Reinstalling SteelSeries Sonar
Reinstalling Lethal Company
Disabling Audio Enhancements
Reinstalling Audio Driver

What more should I do to get my mic working in this game?

I found out that I have to scream or shout words in order for the game to input my voice but its barely comprehensible for my friends to hear. I tried using Equalizer to increase my mic volume all the way to 40 db+ but it just made the noises worse.

I would check the mic volume in the windows sound setting to make sure its not down super low if you already checked it in sonar. It could also be other settings in sonar, such as their noise cancellation if its turned up really high, or the noise gate being too high.

Noise gate sounds kind of likely from what you said.

Yup I just checked those I turned off noise cancellations and the gates including turning up the volume, but the voice that came out in the game is still small.

Hard to say then if its working fine in all other apps. I'm using sonar myself with no issues.

Is it still quiet even if you run straight from the mic without sonar? Usually any problems I've had have either come from sonar messing up occasionally (usually just have to restart the gg app) or some other software I've run my mic input through.

I've tried running straight from the mic without sonar. There's more sound that gets picked up but its still super quiet sadly..
