However, learning the layout of each room is not pointless.
You can use this and set the time multiplier to a negative value. Monster spawns depend entirely on time passing, so if time never passes, monsters cannot spawn in.
I think Brutal Company Plus also lets you directly alter spawn rates, with an option to outright disable spawns but, big disclaimer, NOT CONFIRMED, so would have to go and check if the configs allow for that but I do remember having seen that.

Practice? In what aspect? The layout?
Cause the facility's interior is randomly generated each time....
And while the maps themselves may be a bit random, the chunks are not. Knowing where items are likely to be is good information.
That being said, when you're able to memorize the layout quickly and dive quickly the game does lose some of its difficulty. Me personally I'll just head in and enjoy the game as it is without the practice.
This one allows you to enable or disable each enemy and also boost or nerf its spawning chance.
