I'll give one thing as "one of them": fursuits make me uncomfortable and most of them make me embarrassed just by the sight, and the idea of going into a place where dozens of people are wearing one around me would stress me out. So I kinda share the same fear.

Because it's a pretty big jump to say "X person attracted to Garrus/wearing a suit/has a furry pfp would sexually assault anyone in sight + throw diapers around", like it's an accurate and inescapable pattern of behavior. No, unless proof of the contrary, the developer of this game did not dry hump random people in public either with or without consent, they did not cause thousands of dollars of property damage, and they do not ♥♥♥♥ animals. Osamu Tezuka, the father of anime and also a furry, didn't either, and I doubt otakus/anime lovers have stopped watching anime altogether after that discovery.

For all we know, the dev could be a 100% decent and super friendly person, and just cause they're "out", they're instantly hated and get an insane amount of stress for something they've never done. By very distant association.

If everyone did that for Catholic priests and their history of sexual assaults, that religion might've burnt to the ground by now. Every community has ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up people in them, and all of them are equally as much a human as anyone else. They're just easier to identify as part of a certain group when they wear a ridiculous & "naked" outfit with a derp face.
