Manticoil (bird) rework idea

Birds that fly near the ship now can attack the ship itself, but not the crew directly. This attack would be directed at the dishes on top of the ship, knocking out communication/monitor feed from the ship to the crew. At which point the computer man (one helping fellow crew navigate the complex) would get a pop up on the ship monitor "error-connection severed-fix dish". Forcing him to go out onto the roof of the ship and fix it. Feel like this would create a greater sense of urgency and danger for the computer man as he has to venture out possibly after dogs/giants have spawned, as well as leaving crew inside to temporarily navigate the dangers alone. Note-The attack would kill the bird
